Simplify is the better pick if you want to fill application forms faster for free. FutuRole is the better pick if your applications go out but nobody replies. Simplify speeds up the form; FutuRole tailors a CV and letter to one job, finds three people at the company to write to, and reminds you to follow up on day 3.

What does Simplify do best?
Simplify's strongest feature is free autofill. Simplify Copilot is a browser extension that fills supported fields on company career sites in one click, then logs the application in your Simplify tracker. Simplify's help center says you review the fields and submit yourself, and Simplify says there is no limit on how many applications you can submit with Copilot.
That matters on Workday and similar portals, where every employer asks you to create an account and retype the same history. If your bottleneck is typing, Simplify removes most of it at no cost. Simplify also runs a job board with new-grad, internship and startup lists, and an AI Talent Agent that can introduce candidates to hiring teams.
Simplify+ adds AI resume tailoring, cover letters, AI-written answers to application questions, email drafts, referral connection tools and job analytics.
How does Simplify Autopilot work?
Autopilot is Simplify's auto-apply. On a supported posting, it fills out and submits the application for you. The help article is explicit: "There is no review step before submission." Simplify+ includes 20 Autopilot credits a week; one credit is used per successful submission, and unused credits do not roll over.
So Simplify gives you two modes: Copilot, where you check every field, and Autopilot, where you check nothing. Choose by how confident you are in your default resume for that kind of role.
What does FutuRole do differently?
FutuRole is built around one question: did a person read your application? Each complete application follows six steps:
- Pick a real job (paste a posting or pick a matched one).
- See your fit for free: which requirements your CV shows and which it does not.
- Answer 2 or 3 questions about the gaps. Nothing is invented.
- Get a CV and cover letter written for that job, with your fit before and after.
- Write to three real people at the company, such as a recruiter or the likely hiring manager, each with a short note you edit and send yourself.
- Mark it sent, and get a reminder to follow up on day 3.
Premium adds job discovery (postings ranked against your profile), auto-apply on Greenhouse and Workable, where each tailored application waits for your approval, and spoken interview practice with a written report.
Where is Simplify better?
- Price at zero. Simplify's free autofill has no stated cap. FutuRole's free tier covers 2 complete applications; after that, new tailored applications need Premium.
- Speed across many portals. Simplify's autofill claims 100,000+ career sites. FutuRole's extension supports a shorter list of sites, and its auto-apply covers Greenhouse and Workable only.
- Hands-off sending. Autopilot submits without you. FutuRole always asks first.
Where is FutuRole better?
- Reaching a person. Simplify+ has referral tools, but FutuRole finds three people for each job and drafts the note to each.
- Tailoring in the base flow. FutuRole's free applications include the tailored CV and letter. On Simplify, AI tailoring is part of Simplify+.
- Follow-up. FutuRole reminds you on day 3. Simplify tracks status.
- Monthly price. Premium is $22/month against $39.99 for Simplify+.
Can you use both?
Yes, and for many people that is the best setup. Use Simplify Copilot to fill the long forms on employer portals, then use FutuRole for the jobs you care most about to get the tailored CV and letter and the names of three people to write to. A free ATS resume checker is a good first step either way, to confirm a parser reads your resume cleanly.
Who should pick which?
Pick Simplify if you are early in a search, your resume already fits your target roles, and you want to get through forms faster for free. Pick Simplify+ with Autopilot if you want volume and accept sending with no final check.
Pick FutuRole if you have already applied to many jobs with little response. Volume is rarely the gap at that point; the gap is that no person saw the application. Our guide to why 100 applications get no response walks through how to find the stage where yours stop.
